(a)      It is unlawful for any person to obstruct, resist or oppose any police officer in the discharge of any official duty.

(b)     Obstruction of Police includes knowingly giving false or misleading information to a police officer who is in the process of investigating a crime or alleged crime.

Obstruction of Police is punishable by a fine of not more than Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) or imprisonment for not more than One (1) Year, or both such fine and imprisonment.
