CHAPTER IV. BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTIONCHAPTER IV. BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTION\ARTICLE 11. INFRASTRUCTURE DAMAGE

In the event city infrastructure related to water or sewer including but not limited to, meter cans, meters, setters, rings, lids, is damaged during the construction of real estate it shall be the responsibility of the homebuilder who has pulled a permit for that lot to pay for the damages.

The Public Works Director or their representative shall determine the cost for fixing or replacing the damaged infrastructure. Once a cost has been established, a bill shall be sent to the home builder requiring that fee to be paid within 30 days.

Failure to pay the bill within 30 days shall result in the building permit being placed on hold with no further inspections being allowed until the fee has been paid.

A form shall be included with the building permit to be signed by the builder or their representative verifying they have received this information.
